When I look at the packaging of the majority of my skincare products, there seems to be a common theme:
Fruits and Vegetables.
From childhood, like clockwork, we are told to eat our fruits and vegetables to make us strong and healthy. Internal benefits.
But what about the external? Do those same benefits carry over?
There are so many DIY skincare products people, including myself make at home in our own kitchens. One of the popular ingredients we (speaking for all of us here) grab is something fruit related.
Is there a benefit to fruit and vegetables in skincare products? and exactly,
How much actual fruit and vegetables are in these products?
I am sure it varies from brand to brand and I am sure there are some benefits but I do start to wonder am I solely attracted to the packaging?

I love packaging, nothing makes me happier then looking at my vanity and seeing a nice looking product displayed. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and pride. I work hard so I should treat myself!
When I took a look at my assortment of products, it did serve as a reminder to myself to make sure I am also doing research on what I purchase. The main point of skincare is to care for the skin and I want to make sure I am not losing sight of that.
