A Little Space of Your Own

Do you have a space, just for yourself at home?

I love my little "relaxing corner". It is so important to carve out a little personal space for yourself at home and dedicate a little personal time for self.

As I was thinking about my space a few questions came up from other people. I decided to write those questions down and answer them!

Q: How do you decorate your corner?

A: I surround myself with little personal touches that mean something to me and things that make me happy!

My wedding bouquet was made from silk flowers so I am able to keep it for a lifetime!

Pieces like that I love having in my space.

Q: What is the purpose of having a relaxing corner?

A: I am actively working on meditating for 15 minutes a day. It's funny, after working my 9-5, I would head into Midtown Manhattan and pay $5 to sit in a room with strangers and mediate for 30 minutes. Something about having others in the room, doing the same thing helped to calm me down!

These days I try to focus on things that truly are important to me. There is always so much going on, at any given time which makes it even more important to Stop. Take a deep breath in...

"Inhale" "Exhale" and repeat.

Q: What are some techniques you use to help relax your mind?

A: I love to use a Peppermint Halo Rollerball as part of my relaxation routine. A swipe on the forehead, temples and back of the neck does the trick at relieving any tensions and putting me in a state of calm.

In addition to the Peppermint Halo Rollerball, crystals have always been apart of my manifestation. I love to be able to give off my energies to my stones. My crystals of choice are typically Rose Quartz and Amethyst.

That is what makes me happy, that is how I like to put myself in a good headspace.

Sometimes it is truly about how you start off your day. Just taking a few moments to yourself, in the morning can help setup your mood for the rest of the day.

Start off with positive intentions and remember to try to carry them with you, throughout the rest of the day!

Ask yourself...

Can I dedicate a few minutes to myself everyday?

I hope you can!
